Preface This manual was prepared in Ontario to supplement the Camp Leadership Certificate Course, and to assist all Officers in planning and carrying out a safe, successful and enjoyable camping programme. Much of the material included in this manual was taken or adapted fromt he St. John Ambulance Cadet Camping Manual, first impression 1983-110, written and produced by Bonnie Lawrie, Bob Alexander, and Gail Smith. Many people have contributed new information to this update. The contributions of David McKee, John Seney and the members of the Ontario Provincial / Area Cadet (P.A.C.T.) Team are especially acknowledged. Special credit goes to Lisa Scale, who volunteered both her time and talents to produce the digital pictures use to illustrate the Manual. We hope that the Manual meets the continuing needs of leaders of the Brigade Youth Component.
