ExcerptsCeremonial Dress

(Accoutrements)
Occasions requiring orders,
decorations and medals, and authorized ceremonial
accoutrements as follows:
- Formal ceremonies or
parades;
- State Ceremonies;
- In attendance on, or
as escorts to, Royal and Vice Regal
personnages;
- Exchanging ceremonial
visits or official call, if considered
appropriate;
- Church services and
church parades;
- Brigade funerals;
- Inspections;
- As a Brigade
representative at a civilian or military
function;
- Investitures;
- Formal Brigade
weddings; and
- Other occasions as
directed.
No. R2
(Medals Only)
Occasions requiring orders,
decoratons and medals, but no other accoutrements
as follows:
- Formal and other
significant occasions for which the
wearing of No. R1 order of dress would
not be deemed appropriate;
- Formal weddings;
- Investitures;
- Levees;
- Ceremonial parades;
- Ceremonial occasions
when attending as a spectator;
- On Remembrance Day;
and
- Other occasions as
directed.
No. R3
(Ribbons Only)
As for No. R2 order of
dress with undress ribbons only, for wear on less
formal occasions at which the wearing of orders,
decorations and medals would be considered
inappropriate.

- TUNIC: Formal Dress
Tunic
- TROUSERS/SKIRT: of
same material as Tunic. Skirt must be
below the knees if worn.
- SHIRT: plain white
long sleeve
- TIE: black, clip on

- HEADDRESS: regulation
forge cap, bowler or beret

- OUTER GARMENT: black

recommended for ceremonial functions. There are
no restrictions on this uniform.

appearance must be maintained. Ribbons shall not
be worn with this order of dress.

the minimum required uniform for all officers and
has no restrictions. Uniform W4 may be worn in
lieu of R3 and W3 order during summer months, on
public events. Uniform W5 may be authorized for
public events where a less formal requirement
exists.

Name Tags
Name Tags - optional
- Standard name tags
shall be detachable, made of black and
white laminated plastic plate 6.3 cm (2
1/2 inches) in length and 1.2 cm (1/2
inch) in height, inscribed with white
lettering .6 cm (1/4 inch) high, and
shall indicate the name of the member.
- Name tags shall be
worn with regulation working orders of
dress as detailed in the dress guidelines
manual.
- Name tags can be
locally acquired.
