St John Cadets' Toy Project for Kosovo
Cadets from Central Ontario have been engaged in the project of sorting, catagorizing and boxing toys for the Kosovo children coming to Canada as well as to ship over to the many children of Kosovo who will continue to wait to return to their homeland..

This project is has been under the direction of Evelyn Lavoie from the 1004 Cadet Division. To date, the Cadets have packaged and sorted one complete 60' tractor trailor and are starting on the second trailer. This work is being done at the Angus Arena every Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. This past Saturday, the Cadets were honoured by Hn. Paul Bonwick, Liberal MP and were presented with a certificate from the House of Commons signed by our Prime Minister.

On Tuesday the 4th of May at 14:30 hours, the Cadets will be acknowledged in The House of Commons as will others who have helped. To date, the Cadets have received National News attention on CTV and the New VR four times. Further news and pictures of these presentations and the work of the Cadets will be posted on Cadets Online as it becomes available.

This service of Children helping Children and as our promise says, "Helping the suffering and the Needy" and in "The Service of Mankind" are truly being displayed by these individuals.
