| This year's Provincial Open Competition was held in Hamilton Ontario at the Hamilton Convention Centre on a Saturday afternoon. Over 30 teams were in attendance representing various organizations from across the Province. Among the deserving competitors were the Junior and Intermediate St. John Cadet Teams. They represented us very well at this year's Open Competition. | |
| The Col. R. W. Leonard trophy is awarded to the best junior team with members between the ages of 11 and 13. This year's winner was 977 Hamilton Cadet Division with the first runner up being 405 Scarborough Cadet Division. Outstanding job to both St. John Teams | The pretigous Intermediate Category Trophy. The Edgar J. Stone Trophy is awarded to the Intermediate Provincial Champions. This year's winner was 405 Scarborough Cadet Division! Another outstanding Job! |
| While we are highlighting Cadet Accomplishments on Cadets Online, we would like to honour all other St. John Ambulance teams who participated in this year's competition. Honourable mentions go to Oakville Cadet Division for this 1st runner up position in the Senior Womens category, 1050 Markville Adult Division for their 2nd runner up position in the Senior Men's category and our CRT - Campus Response Team from the University of Guelph who won the Senior Women's category whose trophy was established by the National Office in 1965. | |
| A special congratulations goes to Shirley Yung from 405 Scarborough Cadet Division seen here preparing for her stellar performance in capturing the Ross. E. Elliott - Individual Junior competition. To commemorate its CentennialYear in 1983, the Ontario Council Competitions Committee introduced a trophy for individuals aged 17 years and younger. This trophy was subsequently named in honour of a long time supporter of St. John, Mr. Ross E. Elliot. | |
